A Bloomfield resident working construction was struck by a passing vehicle
A Bloomfield resident working construction on Interstate 91 in Fairlee on Wednesday was struck by a passing vehicle that fled the scene after the accident. Kerry Walling, 66, suffered injuries to the shoulder and back, reported Trooper Adam Aremburg, and was taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. According to the trooper’s report, it was about 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday and Walling was working in the area south of Exit 15 on the northbound side of I91 when a “dark mid-size SUV” struck Walling. The impact knocked the vehicle’s driver’s side mirror off. Trooper Aremburg said the broken mirror at the scene appears to fit on a Dodge. If anyone has information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact Trooper Aremburg at the St Johnsbury Barracks by calling 802-748-3111.
