Greenwood, 51, homeless, pleaded not guilty to felony charges of grand larceny
Shawn D. Greenwood has been charged with stealing items from his brother’s house. Greenwood, 51, homeless, pleaded not guilty to felony charges of grand larceny and attempted burglary into an occupied dwelling and misdemeanor charges of petit larceny and possession of a firearm after being convicted of a violent crime. Defense attorney Brandon Sheffert told the court that Greenwood takes medication for schizophrenia. Judge Michael R. Kainen set conditions of release and $10,000 bail. Greenwood’s co-defendant in the case is Wade Whitehouse, 40, of St. Johnsbury. Whitehouse has been charged with felony aiding in the commission of grand larceny and attempted burglary into an occupied dwelling. But Whitehouse did not appear in court on Tuesday. Sources say Whitehouse was “incapacitated” and was unable to be transported from jail.
