Waterford Select Board Appoints Warner Hodgdon to Assist Highway Department
WATERFORD — The Waterford Select Board agreed to accept a former selectman’s offer to help the town’s highway department and approved hiring a subcontractor to grade roads as the town works to stabilize operations ahead of winter. At its Oct. 12 meeting, the board agreed to appoint Warner Hodgdon as an assistant to Road Commissioner Ron Gray. Hodgdon offered to volunteer his time to help Gray and the new road foreman with training, equipment maintenance and other highway operations. Hodgdon has 45 years of experience in construction, materials, work safety, land management, environmental safety and equipment maintenance. He told the board he could help the department address gaps in training and equipment upkeep and guide the new foreman.
