Waterford Approves Up to $25,000 for Town Garage Mold Removal

WATERFORD — The Waterford Select Board voted Monday to spend up to $25,000 to remove mold from the town garage as officials work to address a Vermont Occupational Safety and Health Administration violation. The board approved about $25,000 for Cleanway Services to remove mold-contaminated sheetrock and insulation. The work follows a VOSHA inspection that found mold in the building. The town has 20 days to submit a plan to correct the violation. The Select Board Chairman said it was unfortunate the town had to spend the money while working on plans to replace the aging garage.
