Peacham Political Forum Brings Local Candidates Together Thursday

PEACHAM — Community political conversation is on tap for Thursday, September 24, as local elected officials will be on hand at Peacham Congregational Church & Meetinghouse for the 6 p.m. event.

“The next legislature will decide a great deal about what it costs to live here – whether our kids can afford to stay in Vermont, whether our farms and small businesses can continue to hang on,” event organizers stated.

“We’re calling this a forum and not a debate on purpose. The hope is for a real conversation between four candidates and the people they’d represent.

Vermont House candidates expected to be on hand are Rep. Greg Burtt of Cabot and Eric Bach of Danville. Senate candidates include Sen. Scott Beck of St. Johnsbury and David Roth of St. Johnsbury.

Morgan Gold will moderate the event, canvas with music by Ariel Zevon.
