NH Senate Unanimously Passes HB 566 Requiring Leachate Management Plans for New Landfills Bill Returns to House for Final Approval

After a New Hampshire Senate committee voted in April to retain a bill requiring a detailed leachate management plan for new landfills, the chairman of the same committee on Thursday moved for a full Senate vote to pass. House Bill 566, which passed the Senate with no nays now goes back to the House of Representatives for a final vote before what will likely be the governor’s signing into law. During an April 22 hearing before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, several local residents spoke in support of HB 566.
