The Profile School Board heard passionate opposition Monday night
BETHLEHEM — The Profile School Board heard passionate opposition Monday night against potential staff cuts aimed at reducing a $500,000, or 7 percent, spending increase in the school’s draft 2025-26 budget. More than 40 community members attended the meeting, voicing concerns that eliminating teaching positions would jeopardize the quality of education at Profile School, which is consistently ranked among the top high schools in the state. “I really hope you guys can figure it out tonight and not put money above our children,” said alum Molly McLean of Sugar Hill. The board has yet to make final decisions regarding the 2025-26 staffing and budget, with firm recommendations to be presented on Feb. 20.
