Gov. Chris Sununu joined state Rep. David Rochefort, R-Littleton
On July 24 at the Littleton Community House, Gov. Chris Sununu joined state Rep. David Rochefort, R-Littleton, to sign into law House Bill 1222, relative to the scope of practice for physician assistants. HB 1222 eliminates the collaborative agreement requirement for physician assistants in most situations, making it easier for them to practice independently. Rochefort was the prime sponsor of the bill. The catalyst for the bill was Andrea Hawkins, a physician assistant in Littleton, who reached out to Rochefort with concerns and suggestions about how the PA process can be made smoother. Rochefort is a pharmacist and candidate for New Hampshire Senate District 1.
