Four years later, Jax Jr. Cinemas may re-open
LITTLETON — Four years later, Jax Jr. Cinemas may re-open. Ashley and John Alberini, owners of Alburittos restaurant, have launched a crowd-funding campaign to revive the downtown movie theater. Closed since the COVID-19 lockdown began in Aug. 2020, Jax Jr. has remained dormant for four years despite public calls for it to resume operations. The Alberinis seek to raise $40,000 to pay for start-up costs. To date, they have raised more than $9,000. Reached on Monday, John Alberini said additional details would be announced in a press release slated for later this week. The Jax. Jr Cinemas was preceded by the Premier Theatre.
