NEKCA announced the relocation of its Newport Head Start and Early Head Start program

Northeast Kingdom Community Action (NEKCA) announced on January 11 the relocation of its Newport Head Start & Early Head Start program to a new facility at 76 Lakemont Drive. The move is part of NEKCA’s ongoing commitment to providing quality early childhood education and support services to the Newport community,” stated NEKCA’s Truley Wingert.  Head Start services cover a wide range, including early education, health, nutrition, mental health, and specialized support for children with unique needs. The Newport Head Start program has slots available for children ages 3-5 and Home Visiting slots available for expectant families and children ages 0-3.
