A man from Concord was arrested for DUI on Thursday
A man from Concord was arrested for DUI on Thursday after he reportedly rammed his pickup into the back of a GMC Canyon then crashed into the woods four miles later. William Morse, 21, faces charges of grossly negligent operation, leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence. Trooper Evan Johnson reported that state police first learned of a vehicle driving dangerously on Route 2 about 9:20 a.m. on Thursday. Claudette Morehouse, 75, of Concord, had called the police to report that a vehicle driving behind her had rammed her 2018 GMC Canyon multiple times and then drove away. She said the vehicle was a white Toyota truck. “A short time later,” the trooper stated, someone called to say there was a white Toyota truck crashed in the woods. The location was four miles from the area where Morehouse’s vehicle was rammed. Police responded and found Morse at the scene. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He was taken to Northeast Vermont Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to the trooper’s report. Morse was cited to appear in Essex Superior Court on Feb. 13.
