Vermont State Police identified the woman who was killed in a vehicle found behind the Cornerstone School on Portland Street in St. Johnsbury. Christina Chatlos, 38, of Williamstown and Barre, died from a gunshot wound to the torso. Her body was removed from a Cadillac in the back parking lot of the Cornerstone School. The car had multiple bullet holes in it, and at least one spent bullet casing was found in the driveway leading to the back lot. Alerted to a possible suspect, police went to an apartment building on Lafayette Street, which is located up the hill from the school. Det. Lt. Eric Albright, with the Vermont State Police Major Crime Unit, said two subjects were being detained on unrelated arrest warrants out of the state of Massachusetts. Chatlos is noted as previously driving under the influence of drugs and was noted by Barre City Police to be in a vehicle where crack cocaine and prescription pills were found.
