Vermont  State Police arreseted Scott Mason early Sunday morning

Vermont  State Police arreseted Scott Mason early Sunday morning after an almost 34 hour manhunt. Mason is wanted for the shooting of St. Johnsbury Police Captain Jason Gray on Friday afternoon. Police located Mason, 38, of St. Johnsbury inside a house at 251 Portland Street which is the building next door to his apartment at 261 Portland Street. Mason was taken to the St. Johnsbury State Police Barracks and charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer resulting in serious bodily injury. He faces several unrelated charges.
