Vermont State Police are requesting assistance from the public in apprehending burglars

Vermont State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in apprehending burglars who stole items from Groton Timberworks that are worth thousands of dollars. Information reported by Trooper Evan Johnson notes that the burglary happened at the business at 2126 Scott Highway in Groton between midnight and 2 a.m. on Wednesday. Those responsible forced entry into the business, Trooper Johnson noted. “Power tools and industrial equipment were stolen, totaling thousands of dollars,” he reported. An employee’s vehicle parked on site was also entered, and a vehicle booster pack was stolen from it. Groton Tire and Auto, a neighboring business, also reported vehicles in their parking lot were entered, but nothing has been reported stolen so far, wrote the trooper. A photograph taken from surveillance camera footage shows two burglary suspects. Anyone with information about the identities of the people are encouraged to contact Trooper Johnson from the St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111.
