Upper Valley Press, which once printed dozens of daily, weekly and monthly newspapers
HAVERHILL — Upper Valley Press, which once printed dozens of daily, weekly and monthly newspapers serving New Hampshire and Vermont, has closed. The 49-year-old commercial printing company ceased operations earlier this month. Reached this week, owner Reade Brower said the building is up for sale, and most of the printing and mail processing work has been transferred to the Springfield Republican Journal and Maine Trust for Local News. The company was founded in 1975 by Chip and Carol Harris, and a decade ago, it employed nearly 100 people.
