Two Turkish Nationals Arrested for Illegal Border Entry in Pittsburg

Following a September illegal entry by a Guatemalan national into the United States at the border in Pittsburg, two Turkish nationals, wet, cold and covered in snow, were arrested this week for unlawfully crossing in the same area. Charged in federal court with illegal entry (or entry into the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers) are two men, Serif Alihan, 33, and Mustafa Kaya, 32. They were arrested Wednesday by a Beecher Falls U.S. Border Patrol agent after crossing the border near Hall Stream, a river that runs alongside the border between Quebec and Pittsburg. Each appeared in court on Friday.
