The Select Board agreed to continue the Town Manager search

LANCASTER — The Select Board agreed to continue the Town Manager search on Monday. The board voted 3-0 to extend the application deadline four weeks to Friday, April 19. The Select Board hopes to draw more candidates by keeping the application window open. Lancaster opened its Town Manager search at a time when municipal administrators are in short supply. Since the town began accepting applications on Feb. 29, only three people have applied for the job. The board seeks to replace outgoing Town Manager, whose resignation is effective at the end of the month. While the application process continues, the Town Manager Search Screening Committee is set. On Monday, the Select Board appointed five residents to the search committee to assist with the Town Manager hiring process.
