The National Weather Service confirmed that a microburst struck Tuesday
MILFORD, N.H. — The National Weather Service confirmed that a microburst struck Tuesday night in Milford, where numerous trees and branches came down. The microburst, which hit at 7:57 p.m. and had peak winds of 95 mph, did not lead to any injuries. It’s estimated that seven homes were damaged and 150 trees were downed. The pattern of damage from a microburst is different than from that of a tornado, with most of the debris running in a straight line — hence, the term “straight-line wind damage.”
