The Federal Emergency Management Agency

The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Monday that it will send more than $3.9 million in Public Assistance funding to reimburse Hardwick for repairing infrastructure and other damages caused by the July 2023 storms and flooding. That assistance represents 90 percent of the $4.4 million total cost of repair projects in Hardwick. The state and local governments are responsible for the remaining 10 percent. That funding includes a grant of $2,661,300 to cover the cost of permanent repairs to the Main Street retaining wall. Another $961,952 will go toward road and bridge projects.
