The body of a Lunenburg man was found in the Connecticut River

The body of a Lunenburg man was found in the Connecticut River off the shoreline in Dalton, N.H. on Wednesday morning. The search for Russell Matheson, 52, has been ongoing since he was reported missing on March 16. The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department reported that Matheson’s body was recovered a few minutes before 10 a.m. on Wednesday after the search team focused on a “high probability image” that had been recorded by divers with a camera attached to a remote-operated vehicle. The images were taken during the search on March 20 and 21. Matheson’s body was found upstream from the location where eyewitnesses placed Matheson the night he went missing.
