Support is being generated for the family of a Wheelock man who was killed in a homicide earlier this week. Gunnar Watson, 27, was shot while walking into his home on Route 16 in the early morning on Monday. Vermont State Police said it was a homicide and they are searching for the person responsible. Watson’s death means a tragic loss for his family, which includes a wife, Aubrie St. Louis, and two children, 5-year-old Leo and Arthur, 14 months. People in the community and others online are stepping up to provide some support in multiple ways. Over $6,000 toward a $10,000 goal had already been raised by Thursday afternoon.
