Students helped to plan a walk for suicide prevention

ST. JOHNSBURY — Students from the CatCH (Catamount Community Hours) after school program at the St. Johnsbury School helped to plan a walk for suicide prevention on Saturday, drawing families who have lost children, siblings, spouses and friends, and who turned out to help raise both awareness and funds for prevention and outreach efforts. According to the event’s information shared ahead of time, “Suicide is the 10th-leading cause of death in the United States. Students from St. Johnsbury School are joining the quarter of a million people who are walking in towns across the United States to draw attention to the fight for suicide prevention.”
