BETHLEHEM — Recently, generations of accumulated knowledge on the science and practice of Christmas tree farming was shared. Last weekend, tree farmers from the North Country, Northeast Kingdom, and beyond converged for their annual summer meeting at South Farm to impart their knowledge, address challenges that include impacts from climate change, and ensure that trees remain in supply for local residents celebrating the Christmas season. They belong to the New Hampshire Vermont Christmas Tree Association, which was founded in 1956 to give its members the opportunity to share information about current growing practices, educate consumers about the benefits of real trees, and promote the growing of fresh, high-quality, farm-grown Christmas trees.
