Police have arrested a man suspected of setting fire to several cars

WEST LEBANON, N.H.  – Police have arrested a man suspected of setting fire to several cars in New Hampshire. Crews responded just after 3 a.m. Wednesday to the Town Fair Tire on West Lebanon, where they found two unoccupied vehicles on fire in a wooded overflow parking lot. Lebanon police say David Merrill, 55, of Claremont, was behind the fires. Officers arrested him on Thursday. He faces multiple charges connected to the crime, including arson and criminal trespass. He’s due in court in April. Merrill remains behind bars for now on a probation violation.
