OSHA has fined Rotobec USA Inc. a total of $61,880
LITTLETON — The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has fined Rotobec USA Inc. a total of $61,880 for what the agency alleges were six serious health and safety violations. According to OSHA documents viewed on Monday, the case was opened on Jan. 9 following a planned inspection. The citations were issued on May 24 for what OSHA representatives said were employees exposed to dust, fall, noise, machine, and other hazards. Rotobec was levied with three fines of $8,840, three fines of $11,050, and a penalty of $2,210. “We worked diligently with OSHA to correct all of the conditions and have submitted the final settlement,” Callie Dingman, director of operations for Rotobec USA, said Monday evening. Most of the violations were moved from “serious” to “other,” she said. A large part of the violations were training and paperwork, said Dingman.
