Officials say the building is outdated

LEBANON, N.H. – Demolition has begun on the Station 1 firehouse in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Officials say the building is outdated, too small, and does not have needed safety features for firefighters. It’s a $24 million project which includes tearing down and rebuilding a replacement on a similar footprint. The project is expected to take around 20 months. Firefighters are currently working out of a temporary facility near the city’s public works garage.
