NORTHUMBERLAND — Northumberland Police on April 10 arrested two on drug possession charges. NPD investigated a report of illegal drug distribution at 82 Hillside Ave. and seized quantities of what is believed to be methamphetamine and fentanyl. Jason Hopps, 44, was charged with two class A felony counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug w/ Intent to Distribute, three class B felony counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug/Narcotic, one unclassified special felony for Possession of a Controlled Drug – Subsequent Offense. Laura Heiser, 33, was charged with two class B felony counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug/Narcotic. Hopps and Heiser were released on personal recognizance bail and are scheduled to appear in Coos County Superior Court on May 11.
