NH Educators Warn of Harm from Federal Education Cuts at Manchester Roundtable Hosted by Hassan and Goodlander
MANCHESTER — Educators from across New Hampshire are sounding the alarm: without sustained federal education funding, critical supports for students facing poverty, trauma, and disability may disappear. At a recent roundtable in Manchester hosted by U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan and Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander, school leaders and advocates expressed grave concern over cuts to key federal programs that provide vital resources for students who often lack other support systems. The conversation followed the Presidents executive order to begin dismantling the U.S. Department of Education. Participants included principals, teachers, union leaders, superintendents, and directors of federally funded initiatives.
