State health officials on Wednesday reported a confirmed COVID-19 outbreak at Country Village Center in Lancaster. The long-term care facility reported 12 residents and 10 staff infections, according to the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. Those numbers represent 12 percent of residents and 14 percent of staff, according to parent company Genesis HealthCare. No deaths have been reported and nearly everyone at the facility, “99%” of the residents and all of the staff, is fully vaccinated against COVID-19. “The majority of positive residents and staff had mild symptoms or were asymptomatic,” said spokesperson Lori Mayer. It is the second outbreak to occur at Country Village Center during the pandemic.
