More North Country communities will see construction along their road
As spring gets underway, more North Country communities will see construction along their roads as part of the statewide effort to expand high-speed broadband, and some of those New Hampshire towns will be eligible for broadband grant funding from the state. Construction to expand the multi-gig Fidium Fiber — owned by Consolidated Communications, which is one of two companies that the state has contracted with— began last week in Northumberland, Stark, Stratford, Dummer, and Milan as well as across the river in Maidstone. As the work continues into the summer, more than 2,500 homes and businesses within the communities will have access to the all-fiber-based Internet service.
