Lisbon School District Votes to Leave SAU 35 on Second Try

LISBON — The Lisbon Regional School District’s (LRSD) withdrawal from School Administrative Unit (SAU) 35 was approved during the annual meeting on Wednesday night. Initially, the proposal fell short of the required 60 percent supermajority, receiving just 59.2 percent approval (80 votes for and 55 against) on the first ballot. However, after a successful motion to reconsider, the proposal passed on the second ballot with 63.6 percent approval (77-44).
