Family Loses Home in Dalton Fire Community Rallies to Help

DALTON — A family is homeless following a fire that destroyed their camper over the weekend. Kimberly and Owen Charbonneau and their 11-year-old daughter lost their home at 252 French Road when a fast-moving fire engulfed the trailer around midday Sunday. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, but according to fire officials, the camper and all of its contents were completely lost. In response to the tragedy, community member Kiara McGuire launched an online fundraiser to assist the family. In her fundraising statement, she described the devastating impact of the fire. The fundraiser gained traction on social media, generating over 50 comments from community members, with many offering to donate clothing and other necessities.
