Derek Perkins was indicted on a Class B felony count of reckless conduct

Derek W. Perkins, of Bristol, Rhode Island, was indicted on a Class B felony count of reckless conduct and a Class B felony count of criminal mischief. On Jan. 11 in Clarksville, prosecutors said Perkins placed S.Z., age 62, and other residents along Route 145 in danger of serious bodily injury when he fired a Glock 9-mm pistol while driving along the highway. Prosecutors said Perkins purposely damaged a state historical marker along Route 145 by shooting at it.
