Another man has been accused of assaulting an employee at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH). Jayden VonDoemming, 25, pleaded not guilty in Caledonia Superior Court on Monday to a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. Judge Michael R. Kainen then released VonDoemming on personal recognizance. In a similar incident, Austin Emmons, 20, pleaded not guilty in September to misdemeanor charges of drunken driving, disorderly conduct and simple assault on a protected professional after he allegedly punched a doctor that was treating him at NVRH. The alleged VonDoemming incident occurred on Aug. 29 at approximately 11:13 p.m. VonDoemming faces a possible sentence of up to one year in prison and a $1,000 fine.
