An English Mastiff mix dog ordered to be euthanized by the Barnet Select Board

BARNET — An English Mastiff mix dog that allegedly got loose, “barged” into a neighbor’s home, and attacked and injured their dog and young son has been ordered to be euthanized by the Barnet Select Board. A hearing was held during a special select board meeting on Monday, March 18, presided over by Select Board Co-chair Dylan Ford, with selectmen and Co-Chair Ben Gates and Mark Jefferson present, and Town Attorney Steven Adler helping to conduct the proceeding. In the board’s order, issued to the complainants Jonathan and Tiffany Murray and Joe and Christene Demers, all of McIndoe Falls, and made public Saturday through a records request from the newspaper, the 4-page ruling outlines the incident, testimony, evidence, and the board’s decision.
