LITTLETON — After delays — some, many years — the town has several municipal projects that have recently begun or are about to begin. Work has already commenced downtown, where upgrades to deteriorating sidewalks and other improvements are planned. “You will see work on Cottage Street,” Paul Smith, Littleton’s police chief who is serving as interim town manager, said Wednesday. “They’re putting in the conduit before they pave the street”. The Cottage Street sidewalks project, expected to be completed in 2025, is seven years in the making and follows town meeting voter approval, numerous citizen complaints about the state of the sidewalks, and a number of delays.
