A seven-member study committee is recommending
LISBON — A seven-member study committee is recommending that the Lisbon Regional School District (LRSD) withdraw from SAU 35. During a public hearing on Nov. 13, the committee said LRSD would benefit from leaving the five-member SAU 35 and forming its own school administrative unit. The committee said the move would free Lisbon Regional from a system it views as stacked against it, where other schools control SAU spending and every school competes for limited SAU resources. If all goes as planned, the proposal will go to voters in March and, if approved, would take effect July 1, 2026.
