A Hartford man was taken into custody
BRADFORD — A Hartford man was taken into custody on November 7 after he was observed throwing nails on Main Street in Bradford. At 8:50 a.m., Bradford police were waived down by staff from the Wells River Savings Bank on Main Street in Bradford after they observed a male subject throwing nails into the roadway. Police soon located the male a short distance away as he entered the driveway to the Bradford town office. Police observed James Denman, 54, of Hartford throwing screws and nails onto the roadway and under a parked Bradford police cruiser. He was immediately taken into custody. During a search of his person, a large bag of screws and roofing nails was located and seized. Denman was processed at the VSP-Bradford Outpost and then transported to the VA Hospital in White River Junction. He was cited to appear December 18 on charges of disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, and attempted unlawful mischief.
