NH Fish and Game responded to a Nov. 18 UTV rollover in the parking lot of Jericho Mountain State Park

BERLIN, N.H. — NH Fish and Game responded to a Nov. 18 UTV rollover in the parking lot of Jericho Mountain State Park. Berlin Police, Fire and EMS Personnel responded to the scene to assist the operator who reportedly had suffered serious injuries. Berlin Police conducted the initial investigation at the scene while a conservation officer responded and determined through interviews of the operator and witnesses that the youth operator had rolled the rental UTV while doing a doughnut in the state park parking lot. No one else was injured in the crash. The machine had been rented by the operator’s party from Northeast Snowmobile and ATV Rentals in Gorham. The operator was transported to Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin by the Berlin Ambulance for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. After investigation, investigators determined reckless operation as the leading factor in this crash.
