A pickup truck crashed into a house in Northumberland

A pickup truck crashed into a house in Northumberland along Lancaster Road/Route 3 in the early morning hours Wednesday, marking an incident that Northumberland police said was a first-of-its-kind for local law enforcement and first responders. It also resulted in the arrest of the passenger, who was wanted on charges out of Nashua. At about 2:24 a.m., police received a call for service regarding a motor vehicle into an occupied residence, Northumberland Police Lt. William Daisey wrote in a press release. Neither the homeowners nor the vehicle occupants were injured, though the house incurred substantial structural damage and the truck was also substantially damaged, he said. On Wednesday afternoon, Northumberland Police Chief Peter Pelletier said it’s fortunate that everyone avoided injuries. The passenger who was taken into custody by Northumberland police was Joshua Dionne, 32, who was wanted by the Nashua Police Department on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, and reckless driving. Dionne was released to the Nashua Police Department and transported to its facility.
