Multiple cost savings measures are being eyed
LITTLETON — Multiple cost savings measures are being eyed as a community informational session nears for the proposed new Lakeway Elementary School. The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12 in the LES gymnasium. For the gathering, Friends of Lakeway made a poster that shows the front of what a new school would like, and because the new school is a community decision, the Lakeway Building Committee is hoping the meeting draws a large turnout of SAU 84 parents and residents, Henri Wante, a member of the committee, said during a project update at Monday’s school board meeting. Members of the engineering team will also be on hand to answer questions and speak about the wetlands, which he said is very favorable to where the new school would be sited.
