Woodsville Area Schools Locked Down After Threat to Officer No Shooting Confirmed
WOODSVILLE — Schools in the area went into lockdown on Tuesday morning and remained that way until a teen police believed threatened a Haverhill Police Officer had been detained, and it was confirmed there was no danger to the public. Initial reports on the situation indicated there was an active shooter in the area of the Woodsville Elementary School. Those reports were not accurate, noted Haverhill Police Cpl. Kaitlyn Barnum. “No shooting occurred,” she reported. “Out of an abundance of caution, some area schools were temporarily placed in lockdown.” Other agencies involved were the Grafton County Sheriff’s Department and New Hampshire State Police.
