Donations were being accepted to assist those fellow residents who incurred property damage
Shortly after the July floods from Hurricane Beryl, a group of Barnet residents put out the call — donations were being accepted to assist those fellow residents who incurred property damage. During Monday’s Select Board meeting, with Christmas just two weeks away, it was announced that nearly $44,000 was raised to assist two dozen residents. Additional generous donations to the fund, processed in November, allowed the committee to meet again on Dec. 2 to vote to grant additional funds to several recipients most affected financially by the July floods, committee members said in their final report issued Monday.
