A 17-year-old remains in critical condition following a tubing accident

GILFORD, N.H. — A 17-year-old remains in critical condition following a tubing accident on Lake Winnipesaukee. Officials said the boy was injured at about 5 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Little Camp Island, but no information has been released on what exactly happened. Police said the boy was tubing with his family at the time and somehow became unconscious. A boater said he didn’t see the accident happen, but Marine Patrol was on the scene quickly. When Marine Patrol arrived, the father of the teenager had already started CPR.  The accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.
