HARDWICK — On Monday, July 8, at 6:30 p.m., the Vermont Department of Health will share information about how to prepare for an emergency. The program takes place at Jeudevine Memorial Library in Hardwick, and includes evaluating what one needs to evacuate, what is needed if one needs to shelter in place, and how to prepare for a situation when one needs to escape immediately. The talk is designed to address emergencies most likely encountered in Vermont, with an emphasis on planning, preparation and practice. It is intended to be interactive and address specific audience preparedness needs. It also provides an overview for anyone interested in local hazards and the best way to respond by being prepared.
