A Littleton motel owner who on Monday was sentenced for felony assault
A Littleton motel owner who on Monday was sentenced for felony assault against a guest has pleaded guilty in a separate case of violating a restraining order taken out against him by his wife, who told police he had threatened to kill her and then kill their young daughter. On Monday at Grafton Superior Court, after entering a plea of no contest in April, Ajit Airen, 43, owner of the Maple Leaf Motel at 150 Main St., was sentenced to 2 1/2 to 5 years in state prison on a Class B felony count of second-degree assault causing mental anguish. Prosecutors brought the second-degree assault charge following a 2023 grand jury indictment on a special class felony count of aggravated felonious sexual assault that accused Airen of engaging in the sexual penetration of a female guest, age 50, in November 2021 without her consent and after she tried to resist.
